Remember, this week’s featured wine is available at our winery in Greenwood Village, today ONLY, for a 10% discount. Today’s Featured Wine is: En Primeur - Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Sauvignon blanc originated in the Bordeaux region of France produces a crisp, dry, and refreshing white wine. This wine is usually consumed young, as it does not particularly benefit from aging. It is known that in the 18th century, Sauvignon Blanc paired with Cabernet Franc to parent the Cabernet Sauvignon vine in Bordeaux. The grape was first introduced to the Australia and New Zealand regions in the 1970s. This wine has a style distinctive from the New Zealand neighbors that also grow plenty of Sauvignon Blanc which tends to be more ripe in flavor with white peach and lime notes and slightly higher acidity. The Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has flavors of gooseberry, herbs, pink grapefruit, fresh-cut grass, asparagus, lime-leaf, tropical fruit, and passion fruit. We think you will find this wine casts long, rich flavors, aromatic with grass and currant leaves, and a crisp dry finish. This wine pairs nicely with oysters, scallops, salmon, asparagus, spicy food, herbed roast chicken and crab.
