“Getting to Know Our Wines” Series – Peach Apricot Chardonnay

Visit Us on the Web – Click Here Our “Getting to Know Our Wines” series continues today with a delightfully sweet wine for such a hot Colorado spring day.  Remember, this week’s featured wine is available at our winery in Greenwood Village, today ONLY, for a 10% discount.  Today’s Featured Wine is: Peach Apricot Chardonnay Chardonnay has become an extremely popular wine over the past few years.  It is a varietal that is easy to grow and quite versatile.  The wide range of growing soils as well as the wine maker both makes for a diverse spectrum of Chardonnays with varying characteristics.  One thing is for certain, Chardonnay has clearly taken the lead for a first-class, high-quality white wine. This is a California Chardonnay that is much sweeter than any traditional Chardonnay.  It is more like a fruit wine because of the infusion of peaches and apricots.  As with a traditional Chardonnay, this wine pairs nicely with grilled chicken, salmon, lobster, or pasta with cream sauces.  Because of the added sweetness in this wine, it also pairs well with spicy foods, Indian dishes, spicy Mexican dishes and pizzas, especially pizzas topped with spicy ingredients.  Whatever you choose to pair this wine with we thing you will enjoy because this sweet wine complements almost any meal very nicely.
