InVINtions' Wine Diaries

May 2021 Edition

I don’t know about all of you, but for those of us at the winery the last month has FLOWN by!  We’ve been keeping busy with multiple events, new wine releases and of course celebrating our 11th Anniversary!  We’ve seen a lot of you around, but for those of you who missed out on all the exciting happenings, here’s what we’ve been up to for the last four weeks.

Spring Cask Owners' Event

After our last Wine Diary entry, we jumped right into hosting our Spring Cask Owner’s event.  This event was special as we got to partner with Ultreia restaurant for some small plates and we also got to host Michael from Tonnellerie de Mercurey, our barrel distributor.  The Cask Owners got to enjoy food and five paired wines that were pulled out of different casks.  Michael also gave us a presentation on the barrels where we got to learn about the barrel making processes and how different processes and firings will affect the wine.  For those of you who don’t know, our Cask Owner’s Club is made up of members who have purchased a barrel which, after aging, eventually yields 270 bottles of wine.  InVINtions’ Cask Owner’s Club comes with a ton of benefits which you can read more about it HERE.

Trivia Night

On April 22, we made everyone’s dreams come true and hosted a sold-out Disney Trivia night!  Everyone had an amazing time answering questions about Disney Parks, history, movies and TV shows.  The winners of the evening won “The Golden Ticket” which allowed them to attend BOTH of our Wine Club ONLY Anniversary Parties at no cost to them.  Are you ready to join us for Trivia night at the winery?  You’re in luck!  Our next trivia session has a theme of Nerd Trivia, is scheduled for May 20, AND we have a few spots left!  Be sure to SIGN UP today to reserve your spot!

Tail-Gate for Charity

We kicked off the month of May with our Tail-Gate to support the Dumb Friend’s League and we had an amazing time!  Belle Vie Photography caught some great shots of the event, so if you missed it be sure to check them out HERE.  We also had the opportunity to partner with Cowboy Cuts for the burgers and with Bentley’s Pet Stuff for some fun treats for our four-legged guests.  Thank you to all who attended in support of this awesome cause!

Crafting with Wine

The weekend following the Tail-Gate, the winery held a craft class with the amazing Tameka!  Tameka and Cory led our guests through making beautiful wooden flower boxes.  The class was sold out with 40 participants and everyone had a great time!  Checkout our Facebook page to see pictures of everyone’s wonderful creations.  Be sure to save the date for our next craft class occurring on June 26!

Winery Anniversary Weekend

As if that wasn’t enough for one month, next up, we hosted two parties at the winery that we’re sure our Wine Club Members will never forget—we know we won’t—our 10th and 11th Anniversary parties!  Friday, May 14, we rolled the clocks back to 2020 to celebrate the winery’s 10th anniversary which we never got to celebrate in person.  Since we were back in 2020, the theme was “Quarantine”.  Guests wore their Covid Casual outfits and we enjoyed pizza from Marco’s Coal Fired Pizza, music from a live DJ and played several games; all COVID themed, of course!  The night ended with the crushing of a Corona themed pinata which provided a ton of prizes for all our guests.  On May 15th, we had the honor of celebrating our 11th anniversary.  The evening was an amazing cocktail party with a delicious 3-course meal, games and live music from singer/songwriter, Kent Blazy!  Being able to have all of you at the winery to celebrate these milestones meant the world to the entire InVINtions’ team.  We can’t thank you all enough for all of your support over the last 11 years and we can’t wait to celebrate many more anniversaries with all of you!  If you missed out on the Anniversary Parties, but you still want to help celebrate… we have two awesome opportunities for you!  Commemorative InVINtions Anniversary T-Shirts are still available for sale at the winery; we have women’s and men’s cuts available for $29.95 plus tax.  Second, Marcus still has some limited availability of the 10th Anniversary barrel aged Amarone wine.  According to our head wine maker, Marcus, this is the best wine InVINtions has ever offered, so be sure to get your bottle at the winery today!  Bottles are priced at $75 and no discounts apply for the purchase.

The Winery is in the "Clear"

Phew, that covers the last four BUSY weeks.  To add to the awesome last four weeks of events, we are thrilled to announce our county has now entered the Clear Phase!  This means that although the winery has been operating at 100% capacity, social distancing requirements are no longer in affect.  We are also happy to report that we will be continuing the use of our outdoor seating area, until the State no longer allows this temporary extension of our liquor licensed premises.  We hope this space will continue to provide a safe, open-air environment for service.  Feel free to call the winery if you have any questions about these updated policies.

Coming Up

We know that was a lot of information, but we want to be sure to fill you in on all the happenings at the winery, along with all the events coming up too!  This Wednesday, we are excited for the kickoff of our Around the World with Marcus Stems Up series.  This newest series will be made up of four classes held about (and from) four historic wine regions.  Unfortunately, this Around the World series of classes is already SOLD OUT, but be sure to keep an eye out for the sign up for the next series.

Don’t be too disappointed, as the next Cooking with Chef Lucas series begins on June 27, and it is not yet sold out!  Details will be forthcoming, but for now, you’ll want to save the following dates at Noon, Mountain Time: June 27, July 18, August 15 and September 12.

Next week, we are looking forward to celebrating the Memorial Day holiday with friends and family.  As we have for the past 11 years, we want to ensure our staff gets the chance to enjoy this weekend after a busy month, so there will be special hours.  The winery will be closing at 6PM on Friday, May 28, will be closed on Saturday, May 29 and will resume normal business hours on June 1.  We hope that you and yours have a wonderful holiday weekend!

June means it’s time for movie night at the winery!  We are still confirming details of the event but be sure to save the date so you don’t miss out!  We will be hosting this event on June 19 and sign-ups will start soon, so be sure to keep your eyes on your inbox!

In Closing...

Thank you all for stopping in for the May edition of Wine Diaries.  We can’t wait for our upcoming events and to see even more of you at the tasting room.  Cheers until the next time!
